1. What do you like about blogging?

What I like about blogging is the use of technology in expressing our own ideas, reflecting something and it also can enhance the communications among people.

2. What you do not like about blogging?

Sometimes, we have to really update our blog in giving the latest ideas to people. If not, we may forget about certain things.

3. What have you gained from blogging e.g. Language skills, improved fluency, critical thinking, improved thought processes, technology skills etc. How?

I have gained my language skills, critical thinking, and technology skills and so on. For instance, I have to make a reflection for every week and therefore it will make me to expand my language skills and indirectly can enhance my technology skills like to put some pictures or videos in my blog.

4. What do you like about this course?

I like this course because, it give me a lot of new knowledge especially in preparing new ideas about the teaching aids in the classroom later.

5. What you do not like about this course?

To be frank, the work load is quite a lot. But, we have to manage our time wisely in order to maintain our performance while study and become an excellent student.


6. What have you learnt from this course?

I have learnt a lot. For example, the five modules, how to make a video, on how to edit music, song, pictures and so on.

7. What have you learnt from this course that you did not expect to?

I did not expect to learn on how to edit the song. For example, to make it nicer to hear and so on.

8. What have u expected but do not learn from this course?

I expected to learn the old style of teaching aids. I thought the word “resources” in the title of this course telling me the resources of modern and traditional. But, I was wrong.

For me, it is ok and it really give me a lot of new ideas.

I think it is ok for me.

The specific skill probably in searching for files in the net. For instance, on how to search songs, articles, pictures (gif) and so on.

In my opinion, I would like to say that, in enhancing me the knowledge of varying the resources for preparing the teaching aids.

2. Photo Editing

a. What do you like about this module?
In this module, I can learn how to edit pictures by making it nicer and different form before.

b. What do you not like about this module?
I think, it is fine for me. I just like it.

c. What do you like about the task given for this module?
I like the tasks that allow me to explore the use of edited pictures to be applied in the classroom.



d. What do you not like about the task given for this module?
I think it is fine for me. This module really brings me a lot of new ideas.


e. What are the specific skills that you learn in this module?
The specific skills that I learn through this module are editing the pictures like cropping it, change the background, and change the size of the picture and so on.

f. How the skills learnt in this module can help in the making and choosing of teaching aids for the ELT classroom?
The skill learnt can help me to try some new approaches to pupils. The visual learners surely will like it.


3. Audio Editing Skills


a. What do you like about this module?
I like this module because it teaches me the element of music and song. The editing music that really useful to me.

b. What do you not like about this module?
I like it so much this module. This module has given me a lot of inputs.

c. What do you like about the task given for this module?
The task given was quite interesting to do. It gave me a new experience and expose me towards the music.

d. What do you not like about the task given for this module?
I like it. The tasks were very informative and it has expanded my mind towards the learning.

e. What are the specific skills that you learn in this module?
I have learnt some skill related to audacity software and so on especially in combining the songs, make it nicer, and others.

f. How the skills learnt in this module can help in the making and choosing of teaching aids for the ELT classroom?
Probably, I as the future teacher can vary the resources that exposed in this module and to make more interesting to be applied in the classroom.


4. Video Editing Skills

a. What do you like about this module?
I like this module because it exposed me towards the video editing skills and it expand my technology skills.

b. What do you not like about this module?
For me, I think this module was interesting and I like it so much.

c. What do you like about the task given for this module?
I like the task given because it exposed me in preparing the wonderful teaching aids.

d. What do you not like about the task given for this module?
I think it was fine for me and it was just a challenge task because, before this I never been exposed towards video editing.

e. What are the specific skills that you learn in this module?
I have learnt how to create our own video clip and how to make it more wonderful and fit towards the pupils in the classroom.


f. How the skills learnt in this module can help in the making and choosing of teaching aids for the ELT classroom?
The skills that I have learnt in this module can lead me to other perspectives of resources that can be used for primary students. The pupils surely will like it.

a. What do you like about this module?
I like this module because it teach me how to advertise something and it exposed me towards Microsoft Publisher.

b. What do you not like about this module?
I think this module was quite fine and interesting to be learned by me especially as a future teacher that needs new experiences.

c. What do you like about the task given for this module?
I like the task given because it exposed me in other perspectives in teaching and learning in the classroom.

d. What do you not like about the task given for this module?
I think the task given was fine and if possible, I love to learn more about it.


e. What are the specific skills that you learn in this module?
Some of specific skills that I have learnt in this module are the brochure, logo and so on.

f. How the skills learnt in this module can help in the making and choosing of teaching aids for the ELT classroom?
The skills that I have learnt in this module can lead me to vary other ways in conveying the messages and the inputs that are useful for pupils in the classroom.


10. If you can change anything about this course, state what is and elaborate?

I think there is nothing to be changed in this course. I enjoyed throughout this course and I hope this course can be learned by all teachers out there so that it can give a lot of inputs for them to apply the technology tools in the classroom and to make them easier and efficient in this field.

WEEK 14 REFLECTION

Finally, this is the last entry for this course. I still can remember the first day in this class. I wonder what is about, Using and Developing Resources for the ESL Classroom. After a few weeks later, I realized that this course has a lot of new inputs and useful for me as a future teacher.

To be frank, I have learnt a lot from this course. Before this, I never know the use of “print screen” button on my keyboard. But, throughout this course, I could learn more than just a “print screen”. That is why I said this course has given me a lot of impact towards the technology at school especially in teaching and learning process.

The five modules also have given me a lot of inputs in developing my technology skills. The pictures editing, video editing, Microsoft publisher and others are some applications that have been learned throughout this semester in this course.

Without wasting the time, I would like to explain what was happening on this week of this course. This week, Mdm Foziah asked us to give some comments and suggestions towards our friends’ work on video editing. The videos edited were videos that had been uploaded in Youtube. Mdm had played almost all videos on that day. From this session, we can improve our work and could make it better in the future. The feedbacks were excellent and can motivate us to do better.

Starting from that moment, I realized that the important things are the message and the story line in the video. The message should be clear and achieve to the audience mind.

In conclusion, this last class had given me a lot of ideas especially in creating video.

WEEK 13 REFLECTION

Hi and see you again in this week. On this week, we have to submit the 3 huge tasks which are the e-book, module 2 and the lesson plans. Fuhh…

Anyway, this week was the continuation of Module 4. The Module 4 was about the video editing. Besides that, we were asked to make a video clip by using the softwares in the Module 4. My partner, Rose and I planned to make a video entitled 1Malaysia.

On that particular day, we were given some time to show our work regarding on video editing to Mdm Foziah. Probably, Mdm can give us some extra inputs to make it more attracting and informative. For me, in making a video clip, the message should be conveyed with clear and straight to the point. Somehow, we have to consider the audience of the video clip. If for children, it should be simple and for adults, it could be indirect meaning. It also depends towards the creativity of the creator.

So I think for this week, I would like to continue my work..

WEEK 12 REFLECTION

Hye and salam 1 malaysia to everybody..

This is already the 12th entry for this course. There has been so much fun in this class. It is just near to end this semester. But, we must go on to survive in this challenging world. What I mean is the undone work has to complete on time. Hehe…

This week, Mdm Foziah told us some information about E-book. Besides that she had showed us some examples of e-book that have been prepared by our seniors and also by her own creation. It was wonderful in the session. I have earned so many inputs regarding to e-book. There were some animations, music, interesting pictures and many more elements in these e-books. Apart from that, Mdm has told us the important points about e-book. The things that should be included in e-book:

1) a theme to the story.
2) setting (time and place)
3) plot that shows the conflict, climax and resolution
4) characterization
5) navigational tools to make sure the slides can work properly (can go to next slide and previous slide)
6) pictures must be clear cut and colourful, no different shades or shadows.
7) sound to accompany the e-book reading.

This is how the teachers should use in making the resources as their teaching aids in the class. The picture also has been made after being asked by Mdm on that particular day.

Hye and salam everyone..see you again in this 11th entry of this course. This week, Mdm Foziah was talking to us about the picture editing and she let us to see some edited pictures that created by her own friend. It was quite interesting and creative to be seen. There were a lot of images that being shown by Mdm on that particular day. I was attracted after watch edited pictures.

Mdm also has reminded us to put a signature on the edited picture to show, it is your own work. It is also done to avoid plagiarism. The edited picture above has that particular aspect. I have applied it to my assignment.

Besides that, I have learnt that some purposes of edited pictures. One from it is the picture is edited to make it nicer. Next, it can be adjusted or modified to suit the learners’ need or situation. It is also being done to convey a message to audience or viewer.

WEEK 10 REFLECTION

Wow..its already in week 10 in this course. So fast the time has arrived. This week, the time for submitting the lesson plan and teaching aids assignments. We have done a great job in completing the tasks on time.

In this week, Mdm Foziah had given us the three hour lesson to continue our Module 2. Therefore, I appreciate the three hour lesson to complete my works.

This module has made to learn a lot especially in editing pictures. To be frank, before this I do not anything about cropping pictures, print screen. But, this course and specifically the module have made to know this. Therefore, I felt grateful to learn this course.
I still can remember, we have to change the background of a picture and make it more interesting. Mdm said that the subject of the picture must be logic and fit towards the background.
Finally, once more I hope that I can complete the module 2 on time and see you again in the next entry..

WEEK 9 Reflection

Salam 1 malaysia to all….
This is the ninth week entry, after 2 weeks holiday break. I’ sure that every muslim in this course still in raya mode. For your information, my team mates and I have done our job in completing the tasks of Module 3. Well done group members!!! We are ready to pass up our work…hehe

In this week, Mdm Foziah was not in the class. But Haiqal gave to us Module 2 tasks. These tasks have to be signed in by next week.

Here are some descriptions about Module 2. For your information, this Module 2 emphasizes more on Adobe Photoshop CS3 software, ACDSee, Photoscape, Iphoto and Triscape Fxfoto which handling more on editing pictures. Therefore, to start doing the tutorials given, I have to search these softwares to be installed into my laptop.

After installing these softwares, I quickly start doing the tasks and the tutorials. It is because; I do not want to waste the time. For me, every moment in my life is really precious to me.

Actually, before this I do not know how to edit pictures and make it more interesting. But from now on, I will be absorbing a lot of knowledge regarding to editing pictures by doing these tutorials and tasks in Module 2. I realize that this Module 2 will make me become more creative in terms of preparing more interesting teaching aids for lessons in school later.

Finally, I hope that I able to complete this Module 2 tasks and can learn more on editing pictures. Bye everyone..and wassalam

WEEK 8 Reflection

Its already in week 8. But, this week class has been canceled by our lecturer Mdm Foziah due to some problems.

Although, this week class has been canceled, there are tasks from Module 3 have been given to us to be done in 2 weeks raya holiday. Therefore, the raya break will be raya on Module 3..hehe..

It is common for a student life, where the holiday is given for us to relax and at the same time for us to study or doing some assignments.

Here are some descriptions about the tasks in Module 3. We were asked to form a group of five. We were asked to prepare 4 lesson plans. There are 3 lessons of 30 minutes lesson and an hour lesson. I’m really hoped that, we can complete these tasks during the 2 weeks holiday…


Besides that, were asked to prepare some teaching aids for any year from year 1 to year 6 and for any topics. We were reminded by Mdm Foziah that the teaching aids must be interesting, colourful in order to catch the pupils’ attention.

WEEK 7 REFLECTION

Salam and hye everbody…once again, meet you in this seventh entry. This week was not very much to tell. It was just focus on Module 1…in this 3 hour lesson; we were given our own space to complete the module 1. Therefore, I took some opportunities to ask a few questions regarding to Module 1.


The sue date is just around the corner. Now, I want to focus more on this module 1 besides than other subjects. Well, the time is approaching, and the stress also has become a major issue in this week. I believe other members also feel the same feeling. But, somehow I felt enjoy during this week when at the same time I can gain a lot of new things in this Module 1..i hope I can finish my Module 1 and now I am ready for the other Modules too.

My Sixth Week Reflection

Hi & salam to all….hehe..
This week, is about the first assignment that had been assigned to us. “The first module”. I think this week is the starting to work harder and harder. It is because; the work has been increased from week to another week. The work was not only from this subject but also from the other subjects as well.



Do you want to know the due date for this module? We have to finish up this module by 30th of August, and it is just another 2 weeks from now. Therefore, I should focus more on how to divide my time to finish my work and also other works as well. Sometimes I start to think deeply, am I able to finish this module. But, Mdm Foziah has mentioned that we will be having another four modules in this course. Hence, I should just think to finish these modules and indirectly learn the technology tools such as, how to download certain things, extracting pictures and so on.

I realized that, this module and the upcoming modules are really useful for us in developing new resources for primary students in the classroom. It is because, I just have to look on every slideshow in the module and it will make me to try it on myself. This is about a self learner. It can save a lot of time and it is really motivate me to absorb more new knowledge.

In conclusion, I hope that I can finish Module 1 on time and I can learn more new things about the new technology tools that are really useful for me.

My Fifth Week Reflection

The fifth week of this course was about the explanation of the Assignment 2: which is the Technological Teaching Aids Collection that will be carrying 10 marks. Then, we had been assigned to work in pair in this assignment. We were not allowed to work with the same gender in this assignment. But, in my situation there were not enough girls to work with me and finally I had been assigned to work with the same gender who was Mahalingam. In this assignment, we were asked to make a collection of technology teaching aids. This could include flash cards, edited pictures and e-books, gifs and animations, audio and video clips. My topic was about Unit 9, which were Let Us Learn More, In the Garden and Flora and Fauna. All of these topics are under Year 1, 2 and 3. What I had understood of this assignment, I and my partner had been asked to collect as many resources which are suitable and can be used to teach pupils in the classroom. Furthermore, we had been asked to complete the tables given about the topics that we were assigned. For example, the explanation or a brief explanation about the materials that our group had decided, the rationales of it and other purposes. The dateline of this work is on this coming Thursday before 4pm. In conclusion, I hope that this assignment will be motivating me and giving me a lot of experiences especially the collaboration with my partner. Besides that I am also hope that I will achieve a good percentage on this assignment. Thank you to Madam Foziah for giving us a lot of informative ideas regarding to this assignment.

My Fourth Week Reflection

My fourth week of this class was a precious moment in my life. It is because; I have learned so many things like how to download a song, video and other resources which can be used as my teaching materials in the classroom later. Madam Foziah also has taught us a new application which is moyea, a youtube downloader. Before this, I had to use different kinds of software to download the videos from youtube, but now, i can easily use this kind of software. All of us should know that the youtube has a lot of video sources especially in education filed. Therefore, this kind of software has helped us especially for future 21st century teacher like me. But before we learn about the new application and software, we were given some explanation about the continuation of presentation by other groups about”Working with Young Learners”. There were some subtopics like Children Capacity for Indirect Learning, Children Instinct for Play and Fun, The Role of Imagination and The Instinct for Interaction and Talk.




Besides that, Madam Foziah also has taught us about the “prt sc” button on the keyboard which is can be used as a copier of a webpage and can paste it on the power point presentation or in the Microsoft word office. At the end of our class, Madam asked us to complete a tutorial task. In this tutorial task, we are required to complete three power point presentations on how to search and download a song, lyric and also the video. We were asked to work individually and send it in a cd next week.
In conclusion, I enjoyed towards this week of this course and I hope that I will be more success and will absorb more new knowledge throughout this semester and the rest of my life.

My Third Week Reflection

The third week of this course was about the Teaching English in The Primary Classroom. We were given a task regarding to this topic. We were asked to prepare a power presentation in group, and present it at the last period of class. Before that, we were assigning to six different groups and we were asked to discuss thoroughly first in thirty minutes. My group had presented a subtopic which is the Instinct for Interaction and Talk which is under a topic of Working with Young Learners. In this subtopic, we were telling the audience that the important of the interaction among pupils and teachers. Besides that, we had presented the role of teachers in delivering the learning and also some sample activities that can be applied in the classroom. After the presentation, there was a question and answer session among the audience. We were also be given some feedback regarding to our presentation, which include how are we going to improve our presentation next time and so on.

The Reflection of Second Week

In the second week of this course, we were given some questionnaires which need to be answered. at the end of our period, we were given some time to update our blog of this course. We were told that we can save our files in the online drive which is sky drive online. In addition, the skill of typing with fast paced, correct and excellent is a good skill which need to be instilled for every educator. Our lecturer also told us that there is a software which can be used to enhance our skill of typing. Besides that, were were explained about our five modules in our assignment which we need to stress on.

PEH 080001 (AHMAD FIKRI BIN AHMAD DARJI) My First Week Reflection

The first introduction of this course had taught me some useful information. Pn Fohziah asked us to prepare at least an 8gigabyte tumbdrive or an external hard drive to keep our own resources of teaching, notes and others. We were told that, the teachers nowadays need to prepare ourselves with a lot of teaching aids for our collection and make our work easier. Recently, the syllabus of the primary English course in primary schools will be modified in order to enhance the interest of the pupils with English language. For your information, English language is an important language in communicating with others and for globalisation purposes. Moreover, the government wants the educators to fulfil themselves with a lot of things before entering to schools. This course however will let me know a lot of information and other things which need to be instilled.
