WEEK 14 REFLECTION

Finally, this is the last entry for this course. I still can remember the first day in this class. I wonder what is about, Using and Developing Resources for the ESL Classroom. After a few weeks later, I realized that this course has a lot of new inputs and useful for me as a future teacher.

To be frank, I have learnt a lot from this course. Before this, I never know the use of “print screen” button on my keyboard. But, throughout this course, I could learn more than just a “print screen”. That is why I said this course has given me a lot of impact towards the technology at school especially in teaching and learning process.

The five modules also have given me a lot of inputs in developing my technology skills. The pictures editing, video editing, Microsoft publisher and others are some applications that have been learned throughout this semester in this course.

Without wasting the time, I would like to explain what was happening on this week of this course. This week, Mdm Foziah asked us to give some comments and suggestions towards our friends’ work on video editing. The videos edited were videos that had been uploaded in Youtube. Mdm had played almost all videos on that day. From this session, we can improve our work and could make it better in the future. The feedbacks were excellent and can motivate us to do better.

Starting from that moment, I realized that the important things are the message and the story line in the video. The message should be clear and achieve to the audience mind.

In conclusion, this last class had given me a lot of ideas especially in creating video.

WEEK 13 REFLECTION

Hi and see you again in this week. On this week, we have to submit the 3 huge tasks which are the e-book, module 2 and the lesson plans. Fuhh…

Anyway, this week was the continuation of Module 4. The Module 4 was about the video editing. Besides that, we were asked to make a video clip by using the softwares in the Module 4. My partner, Rose and I planned to make a video entitled 1Malaysia.

On that particular day, we were given some time to show our work regarding on video editing to Mdm Foziah. Probably, Mdm can give us some extra inputs to make it more attracting and informative. For me, in making a video clip, the message should be conveyed with clear and straight to the point. Somehow, we have to consider the audience of the video clip. If for children, it should be simple and for adults, it could be indirect meaning. It also depends towards the creativity of the creator.

So I think for this week, I would like to continue my work..

WEEK 12 REFLECTION

Hye and salam 1 malaysia to everybody..

This is already the 12th entry for this course. There has been so much fun in this class. It is just near to end this semester. But, we must go on to survive in this challenging world. What I mean is the undone work has to complete on time. Hehe…

This week, Mdm Foziah told us some information about E-book. Besides that she had showed us some examples of e-book that have been prepared by our seniors and also by her own creation. It was wonderful in the session. I have earned so many inputs regarding to e-book. There were some animations, music, interesting pictures and many more elements in these e-books. Apart from that, Mdm has told us the important points about e-book. The things that should be included in e-book:

1) a theme to the story.
2) setting (time and place)
3) plot that shows the conflict, climax and resolution
4) characterization
5) navigational tools to make sure the slides can work properly (can go to next slide and previous slide)
6) pictures must be clear cut and colourful, no different shades or shadows.
7) sound to accompany the e-book reading.

The pictures above is telling you the edited pictures of “before and after” after being edited by using ACS photoshop. This is a product of completing the tasks in the Module. This is how the teachers should use in making the resources as their teaching aids in the class. The picture also has been made after being asked by Mdm on that particular day.

Hye and salam everyone..see you again in this 11th entry of this course. This week, Mdm Foziah was talking to us about the picture editing and she let us to see some edited pictures that created by her own friend. It was quite interesting and creative to be seen. There were a lot of images that being shown by Mdm on that particular day. I was attracted after watch edited pictures.

Mdm also has reminded us to put a signature on the edited picture to show, it is your own work. It is also done to avoid plagiarism. The edited picture above has that particular aspect. I have applied it to my assignment.

Besides that, I have learnt that some purposes of edited pictures. One from it is the picture is edited to make it nicer. Next, it can be adjusted or modified to suit the learners’ need or situation. It is also being done to convey a message to audience or viewer.

WEEK 10 REFLECTION

Wow..its already in week 10 in this course. So fast the time has arrived. This week, the time for submitting the lesson plan and teaching aids assignments. We have done a great job in completing the tasks on time.

In this week, Mdm Foziah had given us the three hour lesson to continue our Module 2. Therefore, I appreciate the three hour lesson to complete my works.

This module has made to learn a lot especially in editing pictures. To be frank, before this I do not anything about cropping pictures, print screen. But, this course and specifically the module have made to know this. Therefore, I felt grateful to learn this course.
I still can remember, we have to change the background of a picture and make it more interesting. Mdm said that the subject of the picture must be logic and fit towards the background.
Finally, once more I hope that I can complete the module 2 on time and see you again in the next entry..

WEEK 9 Reflection

Salam 1 malaysia to all….
This is the ninth week entry, after 2 weeks holiday break. I’ sure that every muslim in this course still in raya mode. For your information, my team mates and I have done our job in completing the tasks of Module 3. Well done group members!!! We are ready to pass up our work…hehe

In this week, Mdm Foziah was not in the class. But Haiqal gave to us Module 2 tasks. These tasks have to be signed in by next week.

Here are some descriptions about Module 2. For your information, this Module 2 emphasizes more on Adobe Photoshop CS3 software, ACDSee, Photoscape, Iphoto and Triscape Fxfoto which handling more on editing pictures. Therefore, to start doing the tutorials given, I have to search these softwares to be installed into my laptop.

After installing these softwares, I quickly start doing the tasks and the tutorials. It is because; I do not want to waste the time. For me, every moment in my life is really precious to me.

Actually, before this I do not know how to edit pictures and make it more interesting. But from now on, I will be absorbing a lot of knowledge regarding to editing pictures by doing these tutorials and tasks in Module 2. I realize that this Module 2 will make me become more creative in terms of preparing more interesting teaching aids for lessons in school later.

Finally, I hope that I able to complete this Module 2 tasks and can learn more on editing pictures. Bye everyone..and wassalam

WEEK 8 Reflection

Its already in week 8. But, this week class has been canceled by our lecturer Mdm Foziah due to some problems.

Although, this week class has been canceled, there are tasks from Module 3 have been given to us to be done in 2 weeks raya holiday. Therefore, the raya break will be raya on Module 3..hehe..

It is common for a student life, where the holiday is given for us to relax and at the same time for us to study or doing some assignments.

Here are some descriptions about the tasks in Module 3. We were asked to form a group of five. We were asked to prepare 4 lesson plans. There are 3 lessons of 30 minutes lesson and an hour lesson. I’m really hoped that, we can complete these tasks during the 2 weeks holiday…


Besides that, were asked to prepare some teaching aids for any year from year 1 to year 6 and for any topics. We were reminded by Mdm Foziah that the teaching aids must be interesting, colourful in order to catch the pupils’ attention.
